We know that Delhi is the capital of India and it has many historical monuments and other such gems. From old Delhi to New Delhi, from ancient monuments to modern restaurants, Delhi has it all. Yet there are few places in Delhi, which is not known to many of the people.

These are some of the hidden and unexplored places in Delhi which you need to visit at least once in the lifetime.

Mirza Ghalib Ki Haveli:

This 300 years old Haveli is a lost treasure of Delhi. This place stands in the lanes of Ballimaran, chandni chowk where the poet ‘Mirza Ghalib’ spent his last days. An old and heritage place of Delhi yet to be explored by people. The well preserved place for people who love Urdu shayaris and poems and also display the objects and other things used during those times to make it look like the actual mansion of the poet.

Sanjay Van:

Sanjay van is one of the Delhi’s forest located near vasant kunj. It has now been a popular place for people of south Delhi for morning walks. Apart from this, you will observe Nil gai, monkey and varieties of birds . It is a densely wooded forest and home for many birds. This place has been a heaven to nature lovers in urban jungle and also a picnic spot for students and families.

Delhi war cemetery:

A place which is still unknown to many of the Delhites. A spot in Delhi which is beautifully maintained and which tells the history of many brave. The cemetery has an impressive gateway which leads to a garden neatly lined with tombstones which pay homage to the army who participated in two world wars. In evening, you will find people coming for evening walk and for yoga.

Satpula Bridge:

This was created in the reign of Mughal era which witness the excellent water storage & harvesting system. There is an old fort with small narrow passages which leads to caves.Satpula Bridge is highly recommended place in Delhi to explore more about Mughal era and the irrigation system during that time. Apart from this, it is an excellent spot for photographers and students to hang out.

Majnu Ka Tila:

Also known as Delhi’s little Tibet. A spot in Delhi where you will find clothes at cheap prices, great and economical restaurants and antique things. One of the fascinating places to visit in Delhi. This colony is home to many Tibetanrefugees. It has hilly like market region and a feel of peace which you will only find in Majnu Ka Tilla.
